Consent
Definition: When two or more individuals agree to participate in a particular activity, they are said to have consented. It must be understandable, voluntary, and knowledge.
Key Principles:
Enthusiastic: Both parties are eager to participate.&
Informed: Everybody should know what he or she is consenti
Ongoing: One may withdraw the consent at any point and it is important to communicate during the entire process
Capacity: All parties are capable of consenting, and they are not forced.
Respect for boundaries: All the time respect the boundary of a partner and recognize that it can also colapse.
Communication
Open Dialogue: Encouraging anyone to express their wishes, their lines and their comfort zones.
Active Listening: Look and listen; don't forget that communication is more than just verbal. Make sure that both parties feel that they’ve been listened to and understood.
Discussing Consent: Agree about what consent is in relation to each of the people involved in the activity. Talk about preferences and limits, and the use of safe words.
Check-Ins: During such activities, contact is made with the partner, who should repeatedly be asked whether he/she is still okay.
